Sustainable Future 9: Understanding Ecological and Carbon Footprints

For World Environment Day 2025, GLC held an international conference on “Leadership for Sustainable Development: Understanding Ecological and Carbon Footprints” at Saigon Innovation Hub.
The central question was concrete: sustainable or unsustainable — measured by what? The session worked through the two most widely used indicators, the carbon footprint and the ecological footprint, and through what each one can and cannot tell you.

Speakers
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong — Director, Institute of Environmental Technology
- Ambre Seradni — Sustainable development strategy expert, UN Women
- Vo Duy Quy — Country Head, Aonic Vietnam
- Moderator: Ngan Nguyen Sophie — co-founder, GLC
- Honoured guests: Dr. Tran Minh Hai; Nguyen Toan Thang, MSc (HANE)

The event was covered by Doanh Chu news, and was the most fully documented edition of the series to that point.
